EFTs work for any recurring deposit or withdrawal. With EFT, there's no standing in line or remembering what bills to pay. It also protects you from the possibility of lost or stolen checks.
There are different types of EFTs:
Direct Deposit
This type of deposit allows funds to be automatically deposited into your account in a safe and convenient way. Funds may include your paycheck, pension or your social security benefit. It's a good way to protect yourself from the possibility of your checks being lost or stolen.
Pre-Authorized Debits
A pre-authorized debit is very convenient. You simply authorize the phone, cable, or any other company using this type of payment system to deduct your bill payments directly from your checking account.
