Hawaii Central protects you, your family and your money. Here's some of the insurances that you have or can have.

NCUA
Each member's savings federally insured to at least $100,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government by National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency.

In addition, Hawaii Central is examined annually by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs of the State of Hawaii, an independent Auditor, and by your Supervisory Committee. <back to top>

Accident Insurance
Hawaii Central has made arrangements to provide $2,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance to you at no cost. Just complete the enrollment form that is included with all membership packets given to new members.

Loan Protection Insurance
Loan Protection insurance is an insurance program designed to pay off your outstanding loan balance, up to $15,000, when you die before your loan is repaid.

Credit Disability Insurance
Credit disabilty insurance can help protect your family from the unexpected. It's reassuring to know that not only you and your family can be financially protected, but also your credit rating, your collateral and your income can be protected with credit disability coverage.

Should you become totally and continuously disabled by a covered sickness or accident which persists beyond the policy waiting period, your loan payments are protected. Payments will be made, up to the policy maximum, during your period of disability. Disability benefits are payable for the duration stated in the contract.

Cancer Care Insurance
This personal cancer coverage insurance plan helps to defray expenses caused by internal cancer.

You cannot already have cancer when applying for this insurance. No physical is required.

Retiree Health Care
A health care program for Hawaii Central Credit Union members, their spouses and eligible dependents. Get benefits from HMSA, Kaiser, and HDS. There are four comprehensive packages to choose from.
